Apple Pie Oats

Oats are one of the most nutritional and delicious grains out there! With numerous health benefits, this filling grain is the perfect way to start your day. This breakfast recipe is super easy and really yummy, almost dessert like.


Half a cup of Gluten Free oats

1 cup  of water

half a granny smith apple

1 table spoon of coconut oil

1 teaspoon of cinnamon

2 tablespoons of water

1 teaspoon of honey

1 tablespoon of sugar free peanut butter



Add the oats and water to a pot and bring to the boil, as it comes to the boil bring it down to a simmer and let the water cook out. If you find the water has cooked out but the oats are still a bit hard, add some more water.

Whilst the oats are cooking, cut the apple into cubes and add the tablespoon of coconut oil to a pan. Once melted add the cubed apple to the pan and let cook, about 3 or 4 minutes. Add the 2 tablespoons of water to the pan and let the water cook out. This makes the apples soft. Add cinnamon and honey to the apples.

Combine the warm apples and hot oats in a serving bowl, and dollop your tablespoon of peanut butter on top, the heat from the oats will let the peanut butter melt.

If you want it a little sweeter, add a little more honey.
